| 134365216 | over 2 years ago | Hello,
|
over 2 years ago | Which ancient Romans did you interview to get the new name? :)
over 2 years ago | What would you like documentary evidence of? That a fellow mapper said "look out for the green gates - you'll see them where the Derwent Aqueduct goes" and that I found that to be true myself by mapping in many places along its length. The "documentary evidence" of the latter is that I thought it was worthwhile recording where these characteristic green gates were. I'd agree that it'd make sense to harmonise the keys used of the 3 or 4 at https://taginfo.openstreetmap.org/search?q=derwent+aqueduct#values , but they are absolutely a thing.
over 2 years ago | You would be wrong to do so.
over 2 years ago | Naturally; you've likely never seen one :)
over 2 years ago | It's a characteristic green metal gate used for access along the length of the Derwent Aqueduct. Once you spot them, it's a big clue that the Derwent Aqueduct is there: https://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/6906687 is an example.
over 2 years ago | Thanks for trying to sort this out! If it helps, https://github.com/SomeoneElseOSM/database_qa_scripts/blob/main/osm_ldp3#L119 was the full list of _9_ different NCN1s that I was aware of. I'll update that when you've finished tidying, of course - just linking to it in case it's helpful.
over 2 years ago | This also includes footpaths etc. from Riccall towards Stillingfleet.
over 2 years ago | Re "Previous language was given by error and not exists." if you have personally surveyed somewhere, do not include it in a mechanical edit. Update it in a changeset with "source=survey". Even better, link to a photograph, perhaps added via StreetComplete.
over 2 years ago | Thanks - based on the info we have, that looks about right to me!
