| 62205672 | over 7 years ago | Hi, you asked for a review. I can't review it on the ground but I hope you wanted a remote review only. ;-) It looks excellent but I wonder if "Westminster US36 bikeway cyclist/ped shelter/amenities" is really a name and not just a description. Please have a look at osm.wiki/Names#Name_is_the_name_only Best regards Michael

| 62188914 | over 7 years ago | Hi Bryanna M, thank you for reverting. I would have done the same. This is a case similar to changeset/62158981 Best regards Michael |
| 62191324 | over 7 years ago | Hi, welcome to OpenStreetMap. You added motor_vehicle=designated to a path. Are you sure? Paths are usually too small for most motor vehicles (except motorcycles). way/621678991 Could you please fix this? Best regards Michael |
| 62199155 | over 7 years ago | Hi, welcome to OpenStreetMap. I appreciate your effort on adding important details for pedestrians. It is a lot of work but it can be helpful for pedestrians However, the sidewalks you added are currently only useful as eye-candy. They cannot be/are not used by any routing software because they are not connected to each other and connections to the road network are also missing. Pedestrians using this sidewalk network cannot even change the side of a street because there is no connection between the sidewalks. It is not even possible to turn left/right at an intersection because the two sidewalks don't share a node. Could you please improve your sidewalks? There are two options: (1) Add the missing connections at all intersections, add intersection nodes where ever any other street crosses the sidewalk and add a common node where to sidewalks intersect. Please don't forget to map the crossing nodes (highway=crossing + crossing=*) and don't forget to add footway=sidewalk to all sidewalks. Look at Graz, Austria or any other well mapped city as an example (e.g. osm.org/#map=19/47.58560/-122.30852). (2) Delete all the sidewalks and just add sidewalk=* to the street. Use sidewalk=left if there is only a sidewalk on the left side, sidewalk=rigth if it is only on the right side, sidewalk=both if both sidewalks exist and sidewalk=none if no sidewalks exist. Please note that the sidewalk=* tag is not used by almost all map styles, i.e. many OSM based maps won't show them any more. However, it is in the data and I suspect that there are applications using it. It would be a real pity if all your sidewalks would lie around in the database without anyone being able to use them properly. Best regards Michael |
| 62174367 | over 7 years ago | Hallo Jonas, vielen Dank für deine Antwort.
| 62147959 | over 7 years ago | Hi, welcome to OpenStreetMap. I appreciate your effort on adding roads. However, the data you added is not really useful at the moment. There are a few issues and I would like to ask you to fix them: 1. Please draw straight geometries without loops or forth-and-back-and-forth or zigzags (except where the road is zigzag). 2. Please use a sensible classification for the roads, not just "tertiary" for everything. I am sure that many of these roads are too unimportant to qualify the tertiary class. If you are not sure, use "unknown type". Could you please fix these issues? Best regards Michael |
| 62166558 | over 7 years ago | Hi msprax5, why did you only draw buildings without adding the roads leading to the village? Best regards Michael |
| 62147871 | over 7 years ago | Hi, please do not add fictional data to OpenStreetMap. It is a serious project and you harm those who use the data to save lifes. Best regards Michael |
| 62149876 | over 7 years ago | Hi Sarah, Hi, welcome to OpenStreetMap. I appreciate your effort on adding buildings and roads. It is nice to see another village on the map. However, the data you added is not helpful. There are a few issues and I would like to ask you to fix them: 1. The road classification looks wrong. There can't be that much high-level roads like primary, secondary and tertiary roads in a village. Primary roads must connect large towns and cities. Secondary are important roads between villages and towns, etc. If you don't know what to choose, choose "unknown road type" or ask your supervisor. 2. Roads, streets and footpaths must be connected at intersections. They must share a common node. Otherwise routes cannot be calculated. 3. Your roads must be connected to the nearby trunk road ("Great East Road"). 4. Roads must not go back and forth, they should not intersect with themselves or have circles inbetween. Please split these roads. Best regards Michael |
| 62186746 | over 7 years ago | Hi, welcome to OpenStreetMap. I appreciate your effort on adding important details for pedestrians. It is a lot of work but it can be helpful for pedestrians However, the sidewalks you added are currently only useful as eye-candy. They cannot be/are not used by routing software at the moment because they are not connected to the road network on this continent. In addition, pedestrians could not even change the side of a street at an intersection because there is no connection between them. This leads to the situation that pedestrians are caught in a often circular island circumfenced by streets they are unable to leave. Could you please improve your sidewalks? There are two options: (1) Add the missing connections at all intersections, add intersection nodes whereever any other street crosses the sidewalk. Please don't forget to map the crossing nodes (highway=crossing + crossing=*) and don't forget to add footway=sidewalk to all sidewalks. | 62182692 | over 7 years ago | Hi, welcome to OSM. It is nice to see your company on OpenStreetMap. However, object does currently not meet our quality standards w.r.t. business entries: 1. Any data in OSM must be factual and surveyable on the ground. "XXX is a Canadian leader in YYY." is not. It's just advertising. 2. Please add proper tags to the object, describing what it is, e.g. an office, a shop or something else. Your entry is currently a point with a name and contact details only. No application will notice, no map will show it. I would be happy to see these issues being addressed by you because it would be a pitty if your entry would be caught by our spam filters. Best regards Michael |
