Lyft does use OSM for the underlying map, for their internal route/price estimation, etc, but I haven't heard them using OSM for POIs. I haven't seen Uber do anything with OSM, at least not in NYC. It seems strange that you'd want your customers to be forced to type the full branded hotel name rather than just the main name and be shown all the relevant entries. For example, I just tried searching for "arlo" Organic Maps and Mapy.cz and all locations came up regardless of their full name. Search engines are not that dumb. |
