Hello.
While your edit is not outright wrong, generally it's better to use what are called lifecycle prefixes, such as "disused:" or "was:" . Doing that better preserves the history of what used to be at this location. For more details check out osm.wiki/Lifecycle_prefix 👍

There are physical barriers at W30th, W29th, W28th. Also I don't remember which block I saw them on, but there are plastic median sticks to prevent people cutting corners when turning.

Why did you redraw surf ave as a single road when it's clearly separated by a median? osm.wiki/Dual_carriageway
Your change also messed up bus routes relations here.
This change was unnecessary...

The weather is really nasty right now, rain and heavy fog, otherwise I'd walk over there to survey.

It's not really a "park". Just a bunch of grass/bush lawns.
I didn't delete the nodes to the west. It's still connected for me.
Btw, thank you for tagging all the benches and streetlights on the boardwalk. 👍 I've been meaning to do them just never got around to it.

I'd consider Diamond District more of a traditional "neighborhood" definition like soho, noho, etc, than this amusement park.

I have no idea about legal zoning map. I'd guess different blocks there are zoned differently to allow for shops, restaurants, amusement rides. I don't know specifics of the law.

When you tell somebody "let's go watch coney island friday night fireworks" everybody knows you are not telling them to go to west 28th st and mermaid ave.
When you tell somebody "let's go attend coney island's july 4th hotdog eating content" everybody knows exactly what it is, and not confuse it with Coney Island Avenue.
Coney Island Mermaid Parade is named that because it takes place in that area, and not Neptune Ave and West 16th St.

Coney Island amusement park is in Coney Island neighborhood.
No, it's not a gated and fenced off area for which you have to buy tickets and stand in line like 6flags or disney. It is open to everybody who wants to visit. There is no requirement that an "amusement park" has to be an incorporated organization with fences and tickets and telephone numbers or websites.

Just like farmers markets. It's many independent businesses not necessarily associated with each other. There's no fence or gate or ticket. But they operate in the same general area and collectively referred to as such and such farmers market.

It's geographical boundaries are all the areas covered by the attractions. You obviously wouldn't add residential buildings to it or Coney Island Train Yard for example...

115621262 about 4 years ago

Afaik there's no website for the aggregate of Coney Island attractions.
I don't understand your hesitation here. Do you not believe that this attractions area is called Coney Island and is separate from the neighborhood of the same name?

Thanks for sharing that gps trace. 👍 I moved the stop and route to closer match your route. 🙂 changeset/115624990

No. Neighborhood "Coney Island" is the whole area east of Seagate and west of Brighton Beach.
This is an amusement park consisting of many different organizations. It's also referred to as "Coney Island".

115621262 about 4 years ago

No, afaik it's not a single biz, but this is what's this area is referred to.

Coney Island Cyclone Roller coaster is in Coney Island amusement park, but not part of Luna Park nor Deno's.
Coney Island Art Walls exhibit, minigolf course, Coney Island freak show, B&B Carousel, Parachute Jump, Thunderbolt Roller coaster. None of them are part of Luna Park or Deno's, but they are part of Coney Island amusement park.
To some degree some could consider Brooklyn Cyclones stadium and Ford Amphitheater to be part of this area too.

115621262 about 4 years ago

Luna Park and Deno's are specific sections. But the whole area collectively is called Coney Island.

115621262 about 4 years ago

You also for some reason moved a number of intersections along Stillwell Ave? That doesn't match what it is on the ground.

115621262 about 4 years ago

One is a neighborhood and the other IS an entertainment. There sure is a park here. Just look at https://lunaparknyc.com/ and https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coney_Island#Amusement_parks_and_attractions

Hello.
Could you please elaborate why did you delete Coney Island area?

Hello.
You changed almost 100 things on almost every continent of the world. Can you elaborate what kind of "typo" did you fix?

115496220 about 4 years ago

Is that the correct location of the new ferry terminal? None of the satellite imagery shows any infrastructure there.
