Changeset When Comment

Hello.
Please pay attention to map feature accurate to how they are in the real world.
This pond clearly doesn't have a perfect 90' angel corner.

Looking at the extremely low quality of this user's other edits, this whole changeset most likely needs to be reverted in full.

Hello.
Please note that this edit is going to be reverted due to it being extremely low quality. Not a single building that you mapped matches anything that's visible in the satellite imagery. Also buildings do not intersect on themselves.

Hello.
When mapping sidewalks please connect them to each other where appropriate to create a proper navigable way route. A bunch of disconnected ways are useless for routing.

Hello.
Please note that all crosswalks must be connected to their intersecting roads and the intersection node must have the correct tags as well.

Hello.
Please note that this is incorrect way to tag a sidewalk. The previous tags were correct.

Hello.
Could you please explain why did you move a tree to what appears to be a warehouse?

Additionally, crosswalks controlled by traffic lights MUST be tagged as crossing=traffic_signals, and NOT crossing=uncontrolled.

However, as documented in building:part=*

"Where a building has been split into parts, a building outline has still to be drawn of the whole building way and should have the tags building:levels=* and height=*. These values should be the maximum of all the building parts. A building that has a three-story part and a six-story part is still a six-story building."

Your change doesn't seem to match what's documented..

Hello.
Could you please elaborate why did you delete solar panels node from this building? It appears to be correctly mapped.

Hello.
Since you already added amenity=place_of_worship tag to the building it's not a good idea to create a node with the same tag because that goes against osm.wiki/One_feature,_one_OSM_element

Hello.
Could you please elaborate why did you delete the two tags here? They appear to be correct according to the NYC DOB database.

Josm is a rather advanced, complicated and not the most user friendly, but it is very powerful and flexible.
However, still consider giving iD and/or RapiD a try. They are simpler for the most common tasks.

Hello.
Please note that it's generally better to update existing features to be more accurate to the real world rather than delete them and create new ones.
Updating existing features preserves that feature's history, which can be referenced to in the future if there's ever a need.
Additionally, when you deleted the previous building you also deleted nycdoitt:bin= tag. That tag uniquely identifies in building in NYC's DoB database and allows us to look up various metadata about that building. In the future please pay attention to preserve that tag.๐Ÿ‘

Hello.
It appears that you created a bunch of business POIs and positioned them in a parking lot instead of where the actual businesses are. Could you please elaborate why did you do that?

Hello.
Please note that generally it's better to update existing features to match the current real world rather than delete and create new ones like you did here.
Editing/updating existing features preserves the history of that object which can be useful to refer to in the future if there's ever a need for that.
