| 49615072 | over 8 years ago | Matching some more different combinations with the mopeds: Uppercase: http://overpass-turbo.eu/s/pVA 706 ways
So the difference is definitely not an order of magnitude. |
| 49615072 | over 8 years ago | > the best way is to first adopt the more common scheme and in parallel start a discussion in the local community The problem is that the discussion will cite usage numbers, they are one of the metrics that are used to do an informal vote. I don't support that though, those are too easily influencable. |
| 49615072 | over 8 years ago | (Erratum: it was voted as emergency=defibrillator, not aed, but the vote for the lowercase option got significantly more votes than the uppercase one.) |
| 49615072 | over 8 years ago | Hi Jan Tags with capital letters don't fit in with the other tags. For example for emergency=aed it was voted explicitly to use lowercase. I'm aware that moped_A is more popular at the moment, but unless it is standardized to use uppercase (there're only two mentions about it in the wiki, no documentation), I intend to vote with my own tagging to use lowercase, to influence the usage statistics. | 45973843 | over 8 years ago | Looking at my own diary post and running my query, I observed that all phones were gone. Overpass is able to search historic data, they call it "attic" data. E.g.: http://overpass-turbo.eu/s/pPW Once I had such a node, I could see in which changeset it was deleted. |
| 45973843 | over 8 years ago | Hi The RedBurn, this looks like an undiscussed automated edit. Because that is against the rules, I have reverted it with #49429570. See osm.wiki/Automated_edits. Two years ago, I conservatively removed all phone booths that had a Belgacom/Proximus operator, and not everyone was happy even about that. See @M!dgard/diary/35474 . Generally my thought is that there may be other phone booths besides those of Belgacom/Proximus. After your removal, this booth was *added*: node/4818930493#map=18/51.25536/4.18894 Woodpeck also argued that seeing some out-of-date elements signal that an area needs some love. It might trigger locals to start mapping. Best Midgard |

| 43026697 | almost 9 years ago | You disconnected the water on the locks, for example here: osm.org/?mlat=51.32883&mlon=3.19790#map=19/51.32883/3.19790 Please don't do that. There IS water there, only not when the lock is closed. |
