The only source you state is PDOK aerial, but your changeset deviates from the situation on those pictures. Can you please elaborate what you did and based on what sources?

Hallo IIVQ,
De tag electrified=rail is in Nederland altijd fout in combinatie met railway=rail. Het kan dus veranderd worden naar contact_line. Dat geldt overigens ook voor bovenleidingsstrips.

On the topic of pzb and lzb: this is currently the only way to tag absence of train protection. This is a known issue and will be solved in the future. So, it’s not useless. It is not pretty, but there is no other way

Have a look at OpenRailwayMap.org to see a signalling map of Europe. Seems useful to keep in tact

Hello,

Povazská Bystrica has two through tracks (without platforms), two platform tracks and 3 sidings. In this, I assumed that the Northern platform is used only on the south side.

Your concerns are probably about the platform tracks that are not through tracks. I tagged those as usage=main because they are the only access from main line trains to the platforms. This is consistent with practice in other European countries. Have a look at this (very similar) example in Belgium

24049644 almost 5 years ago

Viaduct: man_made=building
Keermuur of kademuur: barrier=retaining_wall
Tunnel zijwanden: barrier=retaining_wall; layer<0

What does the railway:jkv tag mean?

44073320 almost 5 years ago

Thanks for clarifying!

In this changeset you added the railway:ctc tag. I assume it is some sort of train protection system, but this tag is not present in the (quite extensive) train protection systems overview on osm.wiki/OpenRailwayMap/Tagging#Train_protection_systems. Can you please explain what this tag means?

Ah okay duidelijk. Is in Zwolle gefixt inmiddels.

95106193 about 5 years ago

Hallo Josbert,

I’ve been completing the speed limits in various EU member states. From that experience, I observe that your opinion about copyright and line speeds deviates from users in for example Portugal, France and Italy.

However, I think the procedure of filing a complaint is not worth the effort. I’m simply disappointed that we didn’t talk before reverting. Hopefully we can do so in the future; aside from this issue I enjoy (continuing) cooperation with you.

Best regards

For future issues: please discuss with the author of a changeset, before reverting the changeset.

I disagree that reading factual information from a publicly available map is copyright infringement. If that were to be the case, mapping signals of a YouTube cab ride would also be copyright infringement.

I hope you agree with that and that you are willing to undo your revert.

Cheers

I can imagine. No problem. I was simply interested, because I’m currently completing speed limits in Europe (for main lines) and I had nowhere else to go to.

You might be interested in
http://www.realtransit.org/nec7.php and http://www.realtransit.org/nec12.php. It can be used to create quite an accurate speed limit representation, by making an estimate of the mileages.

Probably you already know it, but just to be sure:

Hi Stevea,

the source of your changeset is unfindable. Do you still have it somewhere? Cheers

Hello,
You updated the speed limit of some yard tracks from 25 km/h to 10 km/h? I wonder what your source is, because I try to find the speed limit for similar situations. Cheers

Hi Sven,
Thanks for the heads-up. I fixed the duplicated node.
