Finally my new GPS has arrived - Garmin etrx Legend HCx. Somewhat smaller than I thought it would be but that is a good thing.
Took it out for its virgin voyage and collected a few missing streets in central Bendigo (Australia). (Definitely no chance of hitting an iceberg today with the temperature nearly touching 40C!).
Will start picking up some more detail around home when I take the kids for a walk/ride. Hopefully the Bendigo map will change often (and not just from my contributions).

Enjoy your Legend, make good use of the free IMG files available from Cloudmade which can be transferred to you HCX Micro SD card.

These maps, made once a week help you to spot roads that have been missed, and of course you can compile your own Garmin maps using MKGMAP to convert OSM files into Garmin IMG files
Good luck

Hey Craig,
Good choice for a GPS. I have the Vista HCX and found it to be excellent. You should get awesome accuracy with that model.
When mapping, you might want to make sure "Lock On Road" is switched off in the map setup menu.
Cheers!
