about 1 year ago | I suspect way/1228370128 is capitalized "McNeil" and the address import did not add proper capitalization
about 1 year ago | You should expand all abbreviations in the street name except for those that constitute a name unto themselves (so Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard rather than Martin Luther King Junior Boulevard). The address should match the road.
about 1 year ago | Google Maps is not licensed for reproduction in any capacity on other maps. You cannot use it for OpenStreetMap. Furthermore, when I last saw the sign for this location, December 20, the sign read "Casa Del Matador". Has it changed?
about 1 year ago | I don't think it's appropriate to tag the gas station with an address, since it does not have its own.
about 1 year ago | Please explain in what capacity you used Zillow as a source. And what is meant by tagging a farmyard, since this is clearly someone's suburban house. After drawing a building, press Q to orthogonalize. The unusual angles are imprecise.
about 1 year ago | You can select a subset of nodes/ways and use Ctrl-Alt-Shift-U to upload only those.
about 1 year ago | Source for name "Jeep Trail"? Typically when found in TIGER data it is actually description rather than a name. way/13692694/history
about 1 year ago | This debate has been hashed out hundreds of times between other mappers and property owners. Please see osm.wiki/Why_we_won%27t_delete_roads_on_private_property The result has invariably been that it is our database to do as we please with, and destroying this data is a form of computer vandalism. We are within our legal right to maintain this data, and it is illegal to destroy it. Trespassing issues are not the fault of our map data. We are collecting the same data that could be gleaned by legally flying over or photographing via satellite the concerned properties. OpenStreetMap is used for many things beyond navigation. That you feel it should only be used for that purpose does not mean you can remove data serving other purposes. Property owners affected by trespassing have effective methods of recourse that do not involve OpenStreetMap. I have reverted your changesets. Do not attempt any further deletions; they will be reported to the Data Working Group.
about 1 year ago | In that case, they should not be deleted, but marked as private.
about 1 year ago | It is generally preferred to place all tags on the school grounds and tag the buildings only with building=school. Having the name on both is incorrect. Although, the address should be moved to the school grounds as well, unless a school building has a distinct address from the school
about 1 year ago | The existing access tag is from the TIGER import. access=customers was not a used tag when the import was conducted. Like the keys prefixed with tiger:*, they should not be copied to new ways. The evidence of the proper access tag is the presence of retail shops.
about 1 year ago | Why access=private and not access=customers?
over 1 year ago | Roads in apartment complexes are rarely highway=residential unless they have a name. These are clearly just parking aisles.
over 1 year ago | Somehow addr:state=VT got added to node/8785888084
over 1 year ago | Wrong addr:state on node/1041996793
over 1 year ago | You added details for a Massachusetts Starbucks location to one in Louisiana way/556106168
over 1 year ago | You moved a bar into the middle of a river almost a hundred miles away node/4675755526
over 1 year ago | You added details for a Walmart in Lawton, OK, but this is Mexia, TX
over 1 year ago | These houses are in Wisconsin, not Michigan. Please fix addr:state values
over 1 year ago | Could've fooled me. I thought it was a landfill.
