I started to contribute to OpenStreetMap after discovering OsmAnd as a great alternative to Google Maps and wanting to improve the way my own city was mapped.
I originally mapped both of these cities and some others in the area using iD and Streetcomplete/SCEE, but thanks to the local community of Rouen and the global french one on Discord, I stepped up to JOSM and Vespucci, even though I still tend to use SCEE.
Editing
My areas of “expertise” are Highways, cycleways and footways ; however i’m starting to map buildings using JOSM.
My main mapping challenges are the following :
Map adresses, correct buildings and highways in every municipality of the Seine-Maritime department,
Complete tagging information with SCEE in and around Saint-Valery-en-Caux and Rouen,
Micro-map Saint-Valery-en-Caux and part of Rouen
Outside OSM
I am a 19-yo young man studying law at Rouen (76, France), although I originally live in the city of Saint-Valery-en-Caux on the coast. The means of transport I use are the following :
Walking (nearly every day)
Public transport (at least twice a week)
Driving (at least twice a week)
Cycling (occasionally for leisure and sport)

Histoire & utilisation d'OSM
J’ai commencé à contribuer à OpenStreetMap après avoir découvert OsmAnd comme une excellente alternative à Google Maps et voulant améliorer la façon dont ma propre ville est cartographiée.
J’ai d’abord cartographié ces deux villes et d’autres dans la zone en utilisant iD et Streetcomplete/SCEE, mais grâce à la communauté locale de Rouen et la communauté française de Discord, je suis passé à JOSM et Vespucci, même si j’ai toujours tendance à utiliser SCEE.
