Wouldn't a tagging like

repair:computer, repair:furniture, etc.

be better than the other way round?

That's possible. *:repair=* was pushed by blocked User:Rtfm , but the logic is shop=computer + computer:*=* to be fair. On the other hand, it can be repair=* simply, or service:*:repair=* following service:bicycle:repair=* etc.
