Mercat cross in Scotland

Market crosses (or for us, mercat crosses) are extensively mapped in Scotland, many my own doing from years ago. There are 97 tagged as monument=mercat_cross and 20 tagged as memorial=mercat_cross, and the tag historic=market_cross is not used there at all. It's a little much to manually edit and I wonder if a compromise could be reached. The monument tag represents the shape and prominence of a mercat cross on the renderer very well, though obviously it isn't actually a monument, whereas the market cross tag here doesn't render.
