Container vs trailer

Thinking about how we could tag if it's a fixed container (not portable) or permanently stationed trailer (portable). --Aharvey (talk) 01:17, 26 December 2021 (UTC)

I raised installation=* in cycle_barrier:installation=* (although I should have added movable=* in the style of bridge:movable=* for *=openable and *=foldable instead). You will have installation=fixed. Nothing for portable or mobile yet. installation=removable means it can be taken out, not necessarily can be pulled/pushed away. I can think of crane:mobile=*, with the slightly weird crane:mobile=street. But I have no idea whether this and crane:mobile=work_site has implies anything on on-road and off-road mobility.

"Portable" may be mistaken as hand-portable.

installation=fixed sounds good, but not sure about installation=removable for a trailer, I guess in a way it's okay but ideally ideally something more specific about removable via towing would be ideal. installation=towable? --Aharvey (talk)
