Also applies to highway=crossing
This tag is very commonly used with highway=crossing https://taginfo.openstreetmap.org/tags/crossing=uncontrolled#combinations, so it doesn't only apply to railway crossings. --Aharvey (talk) 10:22, 13 May 2020 (UTC)
- Indeed. The current version of the text makes this quite clear now. Bxl-forever (talk) 15:24, 3 July 2022 (UTC)
What is the difference between uncontrolled and marked
Neither here nor on Tag:crossing=marked is there a clear explanation what the difference is between those two tags. This should probably be added to both wiki articles to make it clear when to use which tag --Taktaal (talk) 10:16, 10 February 2021 (UTC)
- Pretty sure they are synonyms, no difference between them.--Bauer33333 (talk) 17:08, 30 December 2024 (UTC)
just road markings?
The text says no signals of any kind, just road markings, but in many countries including Germany and Italy, traffic signs may be additionally required (under specific circumstances at least). —-Dieterdreist (talk) 06:40, 11 May 2025 (UTC)
