Why not bicyle=yes instead of bicycle:rental=yes etc.?

The wiki page now recommends using bicycle:rental=yes, electric_moped:rental=yes, small_electric_vehicle:rental=yes. I don't understand why it shouldn't be simpler as bicycle=yes, moped=yes, small_electric_vehicle=yes (and other common keys like mofa=yes, motorcycle=yes etc. – vehicles which perhaps could also be rented). The reference is clear – it's a mobility hub, e.g. for bicycles, small electric vehicles etc., usually rented ones (or vehicles of a sharing network – I'm not even sure whether the term “rental” is really appropriate here). Therefore, I think it is unnecessary (or even not entirely appropriate) to add *:rental to the keys. --Goodidea (talk) 15:20, 11 June 2025 (UTC)
