amenity=bench?

Is this not just amenity=bench with capacity=1 or seats=1? I would have thought a seat, chair, bench were all synonymous? Aharvey (talk) 04:55, 9 September 2019 (UTC)

Deprecate in favour of 'amenity=chair'?

Seems like amenity=chair is used way more often (98uses vs > 4500 uses). Perhaps we should deprecate this page? --Pietervdvn (talk) 20:31, 2 November 2025 (UTC)

For context, I think the original poster means to deprecate amenity=seat in favor of amenity=chair, but this was accidentally submitted on the chair talk page. In any case, I think it makes sense to mark it deprecated. -- SafwatHalaby (talk) 21:35, 2 November 2025 (UTC)
