Sorry, but a bench shouldn't be mapped as a "highway". Think about bench=yes combined with https://taginfo.openstreetmap.org/keys/hitchhiking =* --Pyram (talk) 18:50, 27 April 2025 (UTC)

It is just kind that someone set up a bench especially as the waiting time for a ride is unpredictable. In this spirit the same tagging scheme as for highway=bus_stop is used. Tillwenke
