psychologist

How can I mark doctor office as office of psychologist? I see values for very specific subfields like healthcare:speciality=depth and healthcare:speciality=humanistic

Should I just use healthcare=psychotherapist and psychologist is the same as psychotherapist? Mateusz Konieczny (talk) 06:10, 14 February 2023 (UTC)

I have the same doubt. I was mapping a clinic with several specialities and one of them is psychotherapy (or is it psychology?). The wiki doesn't say how to do this, because we can not have both healthcare=psychotherapist and healthcare=clinic... --AntMadeira (talk) 15:28, 13 February 2025 (UTC)

what if there are many specialities?

If you use this tag to map all the services provided in a general hospital, you quickly run into trouble with the max length of a tag (255 letters). How to deal with that? Use something like healthcare:speciality:0 and healthcare:speciality:1 to keep going? Add healthcare:speciality:specific_value=yes instead (creating loads of tags)? Or limit the values to "the most important" ones? Joost schouppe (talk) 14:12, 13 October 2025 (UTC)

I would map the hospital az an area, with healthcare:speciality=general. Then map each department with their respective specialties at their physical locations, with amenity=doctors, healthcare=doctor, healthcare:speciality=*. From the area it should be clear they are part of the hospital.--Infeeeee (talk) 19:53, 13 October 2025 (UTC)
That's a great workaround, but it does require quite a bit of local knowledge Joost schouppe (talk) 07:37, 14 October 2025 (UTC)
health_specialty:*=* has the industry-specific spelling, and clearly distinguishes their significance ( healthcare:speciality=* doesn't show whether next item is less or equally important)
