A raised road surface, with a design allowing vehicles with wider wheelbases (e.g., ambulances, fire trucks, buses, etc.) to pass without needing to slow down. Primarily intended for buses and emergency vehicles.
With the features of a traffic_calming=hump, but with greater gaps or cutouts to either side and at the median, allowing vehicles with a greater track width to pass unaffected, notably emergency vehicles and buses. (See Wikipedia's discussion of speed cushion.)
