An electronic signal box where a diagram of the track it covers is mapped on a large display panel, and switches or buttons are placed in correspondence to signal position on the map. In North America, this is usually done through a centralized dispatching office and called Centralized Traffic Control, or CTC.

The technology is the same as for an electronic signal box is a signal box for setting points and signals.

How to map

Set a node at the center of the feature, or draw an area along its outline. Add
