Description

A terrestrial or "over-the-air" radio or television broadcasting station, distinct from a production studio.

The name field should include the callsign, if applicable, followed by the station's on-air brand.

How to map

office=broadcaster

A broadcast station's actual transmitting antenna, mapped as a node, can be located anywhere, not just at the station itself. Tags to use for the antenna are as follows:

• man_made=mast (or man_made=tower if it's a really big tower, not common in radio antennas)
• man_made=communications_tower
  • communication:radio=yes or communication:television=yes
• callsign=<value>, if applicable
• frequency=<value> kHz for an AM radio station, frequency=<value> MHz for an FM radio station, or channel=<value> for a television station.
  • For example: frequency=690 kHz, frequency=106.9 MHz, channel=2

• addr:*=*
• phone=*
• fax=*
• website=*
• email=*
• studio=radio for a radio station, or studio=television for a television station. If both radio and television stations are located in the same building and not distinguished from each other in separate nodes, this tag can be omitted.
