Handrails are rails designed to be grasped by the hand so as to provide stability. The handrail=yes tag describes the presence of handrails on steps and paths.

Define the position of the handrails (in the direction of the OSM way):

• handrail:left=yes
• handrail:right=yes
• handrail:center=yes
