The tag animal=horse_walker can be used for horse walkers, sometimes also called horse exercisers. A horse walker is used to automatically exercise horses or cool them down after training (so called hot walker).

Difference to lungeing circles and round pens

A lungeing circle or round pen is an area for lungeing or training horses and riders, but unlike in a horse walker, a person drives the horse. Such areas are usually tagged as riding arenas (leisure=pitch + sport=equestrian).

Tagging

Either place a single node or draw the area of the horse walker and apply the tag animal=horse_walker to it.

Besides the main tag animal=horse_walker the following tags can be used to refine the tagging:

  • covered=yes, if the horse walker is covered by a roof.
  • building=*, if the horse walker is a complete building with walls on the outside.

Fences may be added as separate linear objects, see barrier=fence.
