This tag is ambiguous and is often used on unspecified "workshops" in rooms or buildings. Consider using more well-defined tags, that better describes the object. For instance craft=*, shop=*, leisure=hackerspace, social_facility=*. |
The tag amenity=workshop is used to map an unspecified type of "workshop" in either a room or building. In many cases here are more specific and well-defined tags which might be considered instead. The other main use of this tag has been to map the brand "Repair Café" in French-speaking parts of Europe, and some independent "repair cafe" and "hackerspace" features.
