A facility that provides residential accommodation specifically for students, typically associated with universities, colleges, or other educational institutions. This tag is used both for university-owned and for private student apartment complexes (see operator=*), and both for purpose-built student housing and for buildings that have been converted into student housing. For verifiability, there should be a visible sign outside (often the name and operator).
To tag the building type of purpose-built student housing, see building=dormitory and building=hall_of_residence.
