A motorcycle taxi stand (or bike taxi stand, motor taxi rank, etc.) is a place where motorcycle taxis drivers wait for passengers. Such services are common in Asia and Africa, and like taxi cabs they can be hired to take passengers to various destinations, by paying a fare for each one-way trip, usually negotiated in advance. The passenger rides behind the driver on the back of the motorcycle. In some countries two or even three passengers can be carried on one motorcycle. The queue location is often equiped with a small shelter.
Motorcycle taxis are also known as a "moto" or "bike taxi", and often they are referred to by local names, such as "ojek" in Indonesia and Malaysia, "boda-boda" in Uganda, "okada" in Nigeria and xe ôm in Vietnam.
The proposed tag was rejected in a 2020 voting, see: Proposal:Tag:amenity=motorcycle taxi.
