Traduction en français : SOTM26 Appel à Logo

Following the announcement of State of the Map 2026 (SotM 2026) which will be held in Paris, France, we open the Call for Logos for the SotM 2026 conference.

A logo is an essential part of any event as it sets and represents the spirit and mood of the global conference. The logo is a crucial element in defining the design and color scheme of the official website, as well as the style of the conference content on all OSM platforms. It will also be used in the production of SotM merchandise and swag, such as t-shirts and stickers, creating unforgettable memories from the conference.

With this, we call on the creative minds of the community to design the logo for SotM 2026. We welcome everyone, from experienced graphic design professional to hobbyist and newbies, to share your innovative visual ideas with the community!

Guidelines

The following are guidelines for the Call for Logo:

  • The artwork must be original.
  • IA generated submissions are not accepted.
  • The logo should reference both OpenStreetMap (OSM) and State of the Map (SotM).
  • It should focus on the global community and its core values.
  • The logo should be easily recognizable.
  • The license should be CC BY-SA 4.0.
  • The submission deadline is Wednesday 15th January, 2026 at 23:59 UTC.

The design may:

  • Be color-negated so that black is white, white is black, etc.
  • Be submitted in different sizes (for example, the primary logo and a variant for small print media such as badges). It is also acceptable to include print mockups along with the primary logo.
