Brand information

Some places only repair products from a specific brand. For example, an authorized support centre that only repairs Apple products. How should we tag this? --Frlara (talk) 23:02, 19 June 2015 (UTC)

• I suggest using the same method as shop=car_repair, which is to use the brand=* tag. Multiple brands can be specified separated by semi-colons.--Dobratzp (talk) 02:40, 22 March 2016 (UTC)

Should be broader?

Why limit to repair of electronics? There is places that offer repair of clothes, shoes, kitchenware, cars, music instruments, ... I think there should be a general tag for repair services, not only for electronics.--Pbb (talk) 13:59, 26 August 2016 (UTC)

I agree, the repair=* key is much better to apply to different kinds of product. I've added a repair=only (is already in use) for shops that only perform repairs. That would mean shop=electronics + repair=only can be used as a more uniform solution instead of craft=electronics_repair. --Pbb (talk) 19:28, 9 November 2016 (UTC)
