What happened since last time?
- Blog post about the JOSM tooling discussed last time: https://volkerkrause.eu/2025/06/28/osm-mapping-building-interiors.html

Discussion
Multi-level rooms with different extents
How to map multi-level rooms with different extents, such as university amphitheatre/lecture halls?
- previous discussion: https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/OSM_Indoor_Meeting_2024-06-05#Multi-floor_rooms_with_different_extends
- example: https://indoorequal.org/#map=18.62/48.3923791/-4.488026
- one area per floor is the currently used approach, there is no standardized relation to link those yet
- there is no way to model inclined areas
Antoine's JSOM indoor MapCSS
Features:
- different background colors for open areas vs closed rooms
- display implicit walls and barriers
- display top/bottom ends of steps/escalators/ramps
- level-range filtering
- connectivity issues of routing paths and steps
Antoine will share/publish this.
Balcony tagging, or more generally building:part implications on SIT
- we do not assume buillding:parts to be routable, if they are they should be explicitly tagged as such (e.g. indoor=area)
- there are no other building:parts with implied impact on routability either, building:part=column is not meant to be used on indoor areas (there's other column tags for that)
3D model repository relaunch
- not yet used for indoor objects, but it also does support that
