ओपन स्ट्रीट मॅप (OpenStreetMap) मध्ये आपले स्वागत आहे. ह्या प्रकल्पात जगभरासाठी मुक्त भौगोलिक माहिती निर्माण व उपलबध करून दिली जाते. अनेक नकाशे हे "मुक्त" स्वरूपाचे असल्याचे आपली समज असते. परंतु, ह्या नकाशांवर खरंतर कायदेशीर व तांत्रिक निर्बंध लागू असतात. ह्यामुळे ते आपल्याला उत्पादकपणे, सृजनशीलपणे किंवा नाविन्यपूर्णपणे वापरण्यापासून प्रतिबंधीत करते. ह्या समस्येचे निराकरण करण्यासाठी आम्ही हा प्रकल्प चालू केला.
OSM विकीवरील अधिकांश लेख अजून मराठीत उपलब्ध नाही आहेत. त्यामुळे मराठीत अनुवाद करणाऱ्यांची अत्यंत गरज आहे व स्वागत आहे. इच्छुकांनी कृपया चर्चा पृष्ठावर जाऊन चर्चा सुरु करावी.
