Projects

As the map of Lethbridge has seen some neglect in certain areas, there is lots to do. The specifics are outlined below, but do not let this overwhelm you! Pick a project you wish to contribute to, and only do what you are able. Any level of contribution helps, whether it's as small as marking a bus stop or business, or as grand as mapping the sidewalks in your local community.

Businesses

This is the most glaring issue with the Lethbridge map on OSM. Businesses have moved in/out in a number of places, some are missing address and contact info, and a large majority are missing altogether (especially in strip malls and the industrial park).

New buildings

There are relatively new constructions that are not yet present on OSM, which house businesses. These areas should be drawn!

Bus stops and routes

There is very little information on OSM regarding bus stops and bus routes in Lethbridge. Bus stops are marked, but may be outdated (e.g. no longer in service) since new, existing ones have not been marked as of writing. Additionally, the bus stops are not named for their routes, and there are no relations which describe bus routes relating to the roads.

Sidewalks and crosswalks

Most sidewalks and crossings in Lethbridge are not mapped. One should prefer to map sidewalks using GPS traces (by physically walking the sidewalk while recording your GPS steps) instead of using aerial imagery, if possible.
