This page describes a key prefix rather than a simple key.
The key prefix note:*=* describes a note about another key, e.g. note:name=*.
Like note=* it should be used to add notes to yourself or other mappers.

There are also combinations of note=* with language suffixes to give a note in a specific language, e.g. note:en=*, note:ja=*.
