1. FXBGO! Bus Routes Mapping Project

Overview

This page documents ongoing OpenStreetMap (OSM) contributions for mapping **FXBGO! (Fredericksburg Regional Transit)** bus routes and stops in **Fredericksburg, Stafford County, and Spotsylvania County, Virginia**. This work is part of a broader initiative to improve transit accessibility and usability for both locals and tourists by increasing visibility and accuracy of local transit information on the map.

Purpose

Downtown Fredericksburg is a tourist destination with growing public transit needs. Mapping all FXBGO! stops and routes on OSM enables better visibility for commuters and travelers, and supports future improvements in public transit services.

Goals

• Map all 398+ bus stops on the 16 FXBGO! routes.
• Create complete OSM relations for each route.
• (Bonus) Field survey each bus stop, photograph the signs, and upload images to [Wikimedia Commons](https://commons.wikimedia.org/) for use in OSM.
