Andhra Pradesh/Imports/Grama Sachivalayam
Andhra Pradesh government started the concept of Grama Sachivalayam/Ward Sachivalayam in 2019, as part of decentralising the administration and appointed several staff and volunteers. New offices were constructed where the existing Panchayat office was found to be inadequate to meet the requirement with enhanced functioning.
Goals
There are geo-tagged secretariats called Grama sachivalayam, ward sachivalayam facilities in Andhra Pradesh initiated in 2019. Most of these are in permanent panchayat buildings. Having these offices on OSM will help support the village existence near to them, as this is an independent data source.

This is put under generic Government of India copyright on the website. The website maintainers have been request to publish this data under OGDL via email in Nov 2025.
Cleanup
Location data for 14983 offices are available. About 6000 office names are not standardised as suffixes of one digit integers, two digit integers with first digit zero, roman i,ii, numerical suffixes without dash preceding it were used. There are all cleaned up. name is standardised as <Village Sachivalayam|Ward Sachivalayam>, <unit_name>, where unit_name is the place in title followed optionally by dash and numerical suffix, where multiple offices in the same place exist.
Pillutla-1(WSGS: 10790809)in Machavaram mandal, Palnadu district is named with a suffix though there is no second unit for the same village.
Existing objects on OSM, named similar to Sachivalayam were also cleaned up as per the tagging quideline.
Location accuracy: These locations are considered accurate, as the government attendance apps use this info as geo-fence. Thee initial data was captured in 2020. There is no info about the updates as new buildings are put to use.
Import process
It is proposed to import these using a python jupyter notebook code (under development) to create a osm change file for each district and then uploading the same via JOSM after a manual check. As the secretariat code is also being added, it will prevent duplication and also subsequent checks.

Workflow
- Remove existing data using GSWS secretariat code already mapped from the data
- For each district, create osm changefile to add the unmapped entries.
- Upload via JOSM/ OpenData plugin.
