Dear user Gemimail,
that you for your contributions to OpenStreetMap.
I know it can sometimes feel tedious but this being a community effort rather than lots of individuals doing their own thing, it would be nice if you could consider feedback by other community members. For example, in changeset/132466495 you were made aware that some roads you added miss the “highway” tag and are therefore worthless to the map renderer who doesn’t know how to present them on the map. That was only three days ago and there’s no requirement to be that quick in fixing problems, however you did upload other changes in the mean time so maybe you could look at the issue & pen a small reply in that changeset discussion, as well as other situations where you have been made aware of issues. (For reference, https://resultmaps.neis-one.org/osm-discussion-comments?uid=14434639 gives you a list of changesets that have been commented on.)
From your latest changeset comment (“This may very well be the last batch period since OSM has decided to ignore local street naming standards.”) I gather that you must have read the various comments your edits have attracted about street name abbreviations. And yes, indeed, we do not abbreviate street names in the US. The logic behind that is that anyone wishing to make a map with abbreviated names can easily do that with a quick replace algorithm if we map the unabbreviated names, but the reverse is not true. You will have to adapt if you wish to make useful contributions to OpenStreetMap; otherwise you’re forcing other community members to clean up after you with every single edit, which can well turn your contribution into a net negative regarding the workload.
Please consider playing by the rules; it would make your contributions so much more useful to OSM.
Best
