As a long-term contributor with many thousands of edits, you know that OSM is a community project, where we all work together to build this great map database.

A number of other contributors have attempted to reach you with some comments about your recent edits. Maybe the email address you have in your OSM account doesn’t work any more and you have therefore missed the notifications. I am therefore creating this account block which requires you to read this message before you can continue editing.

Also, while this wasn’t available back when you joined OSM, we have meanwhile introduced the idea of a “changeset comment” where you describe your edit to others. This will help others understand what you edited (and potentially why). The benefits of changeset comments are described in osm.wiki/FR:Bons_commentaires_de_groupe_de_modifications. Your changeset comment is always “BD Ortho IGN 2022” - this is something that your editor will automatically place in the “imagery_used” tag, it does not make sense to replicate it in the changeset comment. The changeset comment is for things like “traced buildings in XY city” or “corrected road geometries” or things like that.

As a long-time contributor, you are an example for people who join the project. Please be a good example ;)
