Hi Hans, I've noticed you've added some bike lanes as separate ways along Fisher. This is not how they should be mapped. Separate ways should only be used for separate infrastructure, which painted bike lanes or shoulders are not, as you know.
Mapping cycle tracks along Prince of Wales as separated ways is correct. Bike lanes along Cayman and Fisher - NOT. I've removed them.
For painted bike lanes you should use tags on the road, i.e. cycleway=shoulder on Fisher or cyclway=lane on Grand Cayman.

I use osmcha to see what's going on around Ottawa. Helps reverse some bad changes by new mappers. Your changeset was flagged as suspect.

Seems like "leisure=dance" & "dance:teaching=yes" is more appropriate for dancing schools: leisure=dance
I wouldn't call dancing a sport.
Another option is using "amenity=dancing_school" but it appears to be abandoned in favour of "leisure=dance": amenity=dancing_school

Hi Heather,

Avoid tagging footways with footway=sidewalk like this one: way/167701739

Our routing algorithm excludes sidewalks, so it's kinda important. Sidewalks run right next to the streets, usually narrow and concrete.

Yeah it moved. Fixed

Is this road still closed 8 months later?

Good catch ;)

Hi, Welcome to OSM.
Noticed you mapped some sidewalks in Stittsville. There is a little problem however - many of them are not connected to highways. They need to be connected whenever they intersect with streets and
other footways, otherwise connectivity breaks and we have a problem. Please revisit and re-connect them. Feel free to ask any questions.

Noticed you've tagged a few links with 'destination:ref=50 Quest'
It is in fact Ouest, not Quest. Ouest in French means West.

Looking good. Welcome to OSM.
There are quite a few unmapped pathways in Gatineau that could use some mapping.

There is nothing duplicate about outlining bridge polygon and it's actually encouraged:
man_made=bridge
Would you mind reverting it?

Is it gravel? Rails have been removed?

Pretty sure this trail is still being planned and hasn't been built yet. Any reason to tag it as path?

Hi Danny,
Are there actual pathways here?
way/591876847
way/591876842

Do you mind tagging surface=* at least (ideally width too) when adding new paths?

I'm looking after a cycling routing project and there is quite a big difference between a goat path and a MUP when it comes to routing.
Thanks. Your surveys are great.

Looks like you tagged this stream as a path by mistake: way/113324967

That's what I'm using like you showed me :)
What was the issue?

57604134 over 7 years ago

Sure why not.
Might as well add it Prescott Russell trail and Le P'tit train du Nord. I believe they don't have it either.

Tagging features physically present on the ground. Since railway was completely replaced by a path and nothing reminds about it I chose to remove it. Besides, IIRC this tag was inconsistent from one segment to another and the path was swerving here and there.
