there is no "standard", only best practices. Many places were originally imported as nodes and have some basic data on them. later people enhanced places with explicit area and, maybe, forgot to move everything from node to the area. Area is obviously better as it clearly marks where some place ends.
Please, if something feels weird to you - do a research or ask community, we'll be happy to discuss and help any time. Removing should be last option. They are very hard to track and hard to recover.
You can contact community either via telegram group https://t.me/OSM_Israel or in the forum: https://community.openstreetmap.org/c/communities/il/50

I'll revert this removal and merge node with the area so there will not be a duplicate.

Hi, the suburb as an area is way better and more informative than a single node in the middle. Did you had a better reason for this change?

Agree

תודה! זה סוג של הסבר שטוב לשים בתעוד של עדכון ואז למשתמשים אחרים לא יהיה ספק וחשש בונדליזם.

הי,
איזה סיבה טובה למחוק שם של קניון?

Hi again.
what was the reason for removal?
In the future please be sure to explain why you are doing major changes in the commit comment. Such unreasonable removal can be considered a vandalism.

Redundancy? Label? That's not the reason for deleting it!
This is called "tagging for renderer" and it's highly not recommended.
osm.wiki/Tagging_for_the_renderer

I recommend to revert this removal.

Hello and welcome to OSM.

You deleted here node created by other contributor without explaining the reason. At least this is not nice.
So, could you, please, elaborate why?

Hi and welcome to OSM!
couple of important notes:
1. we can't use govmap for anything, not for naming not for street-checking. it's public for private usage, while mapping is essentially not private usage and copying of proprietary data. So, all you did here is illegal. If you want to fix names - you can either look the up on kartaview or mapillary or (best option) - go check the physically on the ground.

2. you removed a road mapped by another (very experienced mapper). there for sure was reasons why this road was mapped, so you'd better contact the original mapper and try to resolve problem if any.

Hi, what is your source of data? the address node you added here is looks too suspicious since different address is already mapped on this location.

Regardless, you have a common error: the addr:street should be equal to the name of nearby street.

Please fix or revert!

Hi, what kind of parking is this? Is it some official camping site? Usually parking area should have road access, which is not the case here

Hi, you added here barrier in the middle of nowhere. Barriers are usually added to a way. Can you, please, recheck if location is correct?

hi, what kind of attraction is this? is it really located in the middle of the road?

145100029 9 months ago

maybe it was lanes?

Hi, you added here tertiary road with name "2". Are you sure this is a correct name?

164410396 9 months ago

the address you added is already exists on the map since oct 2023. In general all addresses in Tel-Aviv are imported from open municipality data, so it's better to not add new addresses specifically in Tel-Aviv

Hi, what was the point of this change? point in the middle of the road with only city in the address. it's meaningless from any point I'm trying to look from. I'll revert it if you don't mind.

Also, will appreciate if you can use a more meaningful message in the changeset so it will be more clear what was the change.
