about 1 year ago | Hi Udarian, Thank you for your feedback on this changeset and for making the corrections. The motorway_link geometry was modified to avoid risky maneuver instructions to drivers (e.g., abrupt lane change). However, after reviewing your feedback I agree that that the changes were not optimum given that the solid white line is not a reason by itself to separate highways in OSM by adding separate geometry. We have investigated a better way to handle these situations to inform the driver without impacting the geometry and plan to use the change.lanes=* tag on highways from the point of separation as per following: change=*. Regards.

about 1 year ago | Hi spiregrain, indeed, we do not share OSM accounts between users at TomTom or partners working on our behalf, each user sets up and is assigned that single account. However, I fully understand how you would have got the notion that accounts were shared given the response to your comment stating that the user was no longer with us, yet the response to you was from the departed user’s account. That was a mistake by the person who sent the response and additional checkpoints have been put in place to prevent this mishap going forward. Best regards.
| 139721862 | almost 2 years ago | Hi Jeti87, based on our almost real time GPS tracks and local knowledge it does point to the changes I suggest in my earlier message. However, I propose for the next few days to leave the roadworks and layout as you have digitized them as it is possible that there will be more activity on the roadworks after the Christmas break. So we will check again later next week.

almost 2 years ago | Hi Jeti87, I am reaching out to you as you have done some edits on these junctions and value your input. According to our real time sources and some local knowledge Neefestraße at around this junction with A72 is now open in both directions and that off ramp way/52492159 is also open to traffic. We also see that the off/on ramps of ways: 3237226, 301694817 are closed to traffic at this time. I would like to make the edits to facilitate these updates do you have any issues with these being made? Thank you.
almost 2 years ago | Hi cyankahly, Do you know if the road works are still active on B 173 just to the east of the edits you made in this changeset but they are routable? Currently by opening the roads in your changeset for east bound traffic there is no outlet for vehicles as the remaining roadworks prevent routing from those opened ways. Thank you.
about 2 years ago | Hi fehlerfinder, Thank you for flagging this up to me. I really appreciate you providing a much better method to duplicates; merge rather than delete. I will work to recover the data as it was prior to my actions. Thanks again.
over 2 years ago | Hi InsertUser. Thank you for raising this with me. I did not realize that I had covered multiple continents (let alone countries) in this changeset. I am being more aware now to not create a changeset beyond reasonable boundaries. Regards
over 2 years ago | Thanks Phil. Good info and advice. Cheers. Chris
over 2 years ago | Hi Phil, Thank you again for the feedback and explanation. Taking a good look at this junction again I can clearly see now that this is not a roundabout and clearly a mistake by me. Thank you for making the corrections. Cheers. Chris
over 2 years ago | Hi Phil, Thank you for the feedback and explanation. Could this be defined as a traffic circle? Cheers. Chris
over 2 years ago | I realize that you may have already had a conversation regards tunnels and bridges near Waterloo station so apologies for reaching out again but I don't think this location was discussed. Thanks
over 2 years ago | Hi sirorezka, I am seeing some recent edits on this and another way where you assigned a tag of tunnel to them. These ways (roads) pass under railways that are tagged as a bridge. But per OSM specs for tunnel/bridge both should not be applied in the same location you have one or the other. I propose to remove the tunnel tag from these ways to bring inline with the spec. Cheers
over 2 years ago | Plus this way is connecting to a way of Bowes Road which is also tagged as Trunk Road therefore keeping it consistent.
over 2 years ago | I just wanted to add that I also referred to the OSM spec for Link roads and used that also in my decision. Per spec: "The _link tags are used to identify slip roads/ramps and "channelised" (most commonly physically separated) at-grade turning lanes connecting the through carriageways/through lanes of highways to other roadways of all types. _link tags should also be used for physical channelization of turning traffic lanes at traffic signal junctions and in roundabout designs that physically separate a specific turn from the main roundabout. " As this way for Bowes Road was continuing to Bowes road straight ahead it is not a link road.

over 2 years ago | Hi again bxl-forever, Do you want me to revert the edits and restore or will you be doing so which is what I think I understood from your message? Thanks
over 2 years ago | Hi bxl-forever, Thank you for bringing this to my attention and for the feedback,. My apologies for my inappropriate edit and than k you for reverting my changes to make this correct again. I have learnt some valuable information and will take more care going forward to ensure that I look at the history first. Thanks again.
