It seems like SFMOMA Artists Gallery (node/4010401867) should be tagged as "tourism=gallery", but https://www.sfmoma.org/artists-gallery/ also suggests that it's closed.

Hi,

Welcome to OSM!
For the kindergarten you added, there's a couple formatting issues in the tags, which will make it harder to find.
"addr:street" refers only to the street name. You should use "addr:street=40th Avenue" and "addr:housenumber=710" instead of "addr:street=710 40th Ave".
The "opening_hours" tag is also incorrectly formatted, which means many map renderers will ignore it. It should instead read "opening_hours=Mo-Fr 8:00-18:00".

Hi,

Welcome to OSM!
It looks like the bar you added (node/9826707762) already exists at node/796602147.
Perhaps you'd like to edit the old node instead?
Also, you might want to format the phone number as "+1 510 263 9651" instead of "+15 10 263 9651", which makes the area code easier to read.

Happy editing!

Hi,

Welcome to OSM!
Thanks for adding surface information to one of the trails.
But for two of the trails you edited (way/70689763 and way/964806008) already had surface information of "dirt" and "gravel", which you changed to a less-specific "unpaved".
It's generally better to have more specific values when that information is known.
Was there a reason you changed their values?

I think you could remove one of the nodes.

I'm not sure which to delete, but looking at osm.wiki/Keep_the_history I'm inclined to think you should keep the address node (node/3661035841) which is 3 years older, and add the bank tags from node/5604933821 to it and then delete 5604933821.

Not many people retain history, though, so the important part is keeping the address info.

Reverted in changeset/121741799.

Hi, welcome to OSM!
It looks like you accidentally deleted part of a highway, so I've reverted your change.

Hi C1ochette,
I've removed your duplicate Lapisara in changeset/120989230.
Does your Maps.me have a very old version of OSM data that needs to be updated?
The original Lapisara node has been there since October 2021.

Nice work. Looks good from what I can see.
Thanks for adding those new crosswalks near J-town.

Hi Brendan,
Is Mr. Smiths vacant now?
If so, it might be useful to add a `disused:shop=yes` tag on it, as described in osm.org/wiki/Key:disused:shop.
If there's something else there, but you don't know what, you can add `shop=yes`, and people with StreetComplete will fill in the details later.
Thanks for not deleting the node! This helps to preserve history.

Hi,
I've removed the duplicate Del Popolo and Tacorea nodes (which already exist) in changeset/120912021.
Thanks for making sure they exist, though!

Hi C1ochette,
I removed the duplicate Peacekeeper node (changeset/120911850), because it already exists at way/71515257.

D'oh! It was supposed to be Japanese, but I ended up using the domain name TLD instead of the ISO 639 code.
Nice catch, thanks!
I've fixed it in changeset/120869334

Hi PManning232, welcome to OSM!
What's your source for adding this CVS? It's been closed for a while now, as can seen in node/3393044559/history

FYI, you can also add tags like "opening_hours:signed=no" (opening_hours:signed=no) to show that the hours aren't posted. StreetComplete uses this to prevent prompting for hours where none are displayed.
For irregular hours, opening_hours can take comment strings like `opening_hours=Mo-Su "Irregular hours"` (https://openingh.openstreetmap.de/evaluation_tool/?EXP=Mo-Su%20%22Irregular%20hours%22).

Hi,

Is the Panera Bread currently vacant?
If so, it's sometimes better to use a "disused:shop" tag (disused:shop=*) rather than deleting the node outright, as it allows people using StreetComplete to check if the shop is still vacant later on.

Why is it a bench?

It looks like some discussion takes place at changeset/111082334

It doesn't seem like there was false information but rather a disagreement in how to tag "access" in paid ticket areas.
You might consider asking the changeset author about their changes, and waiting a few days for a response, rather than immediately reverting. Totally up to you, though.

I'm not super familiar with this type of routing, though. Out of curiosity, and for my own future benefit, is there a tool you're using to catch these problematic routing changes? Thanks!

Yeah, I think that's fine. Nobody really maintains a consistent history anyway.
If somebody really wanted to see what was there before, they'd use an Overpass Turbo query to get historical data.

I wouldn't necessarily delete address nodes, even if they duplicate information contained in the building.
Sometimes it makes it easier to tell the relative location of different entrances.
Using separate address nodes also allows you to tag individual features with values like "wheelchair=no".

Some places use separate address nodes, some just tie it to the building. AFAICT, there's no hard rule one way or the other.

Hi there. Welcome to OSM!
Thanks for adding and updating POIs in Hayes Valley.
There were a couple nodes with addresses you deleted (node/6726234885 and node/4624048553), which I undeleted in changeset/119522718.

When shops are permanently closed or vacant, it's usually better to tag the node as "disused:shop=yes" (see osm.org/wiki/Key:disused:shop) rather than delete the node, so we don't lose the address information. Marking shops as vacant this way also allows programs like StreetComplete to later ask people if the vacancy has been filled.
