I un-abbreviated stuff in the vicinity as well that got mistakenly abbreviated at some point. I also aligned the western terminus of O along Klime and North Main as signed by MoDOT (https://www.bing.com/maps?cp=37.305434%7E-93.42792&lvl=20.3&pi=-3.6&style=x&dir=94.6). Also also, there is a small segment of county-maintained road literally named "State Hwy O" without any MoDOT route shields. This is, at present, not technically part of Route O according to MoDOT data and Bing StreetSide signage. |
about 2 years ago | Bounding box is large because I touched the MO13 relation.
about 2 years ago | wow, double correction: it's route M and U.S. 60

about 2 years ago | To clarify: that county road was taken over by MoDOT, but that wasn't reflected in TIGER/Line 2007
about 2 years ago | Part of CR344 is actually JJ to connect with Angeline Conservation Area. MoDOT likes to have fully state-maintained routes to conservation areas.
about 2 years ago | ...and add bridges along the way. I couldn't rework the footways in Mercer, as they were kind of all over the place.
about 2 years ago | Also fixed ref tags on concurrency with Rte. KK and added name to Medicine Creek segment new Newtown
about 2 years ago | There was a weird fork-like feature on the county road.
about 2 years ago | Whelp, missed the eastern part of it. Next changeset will address this.
about 2 years ago | Also added stop signs at either end.

about 2 years ago | Hi, my name is Tyler. I see you've been abbreviating a lot of road names in your edits on OSM. One of the most important conventions we have is to use fully-expanded names. This is because abbreviations are ambiguous, so it's easier for software to abbreviate stuff with a lookup table than it is to un-abbreviate stuff at render time. So instead of N, E, S, and W, we spell out "North", "East", "South", and "West". And "Blvd" should actually be "Boulevard". This is done deliberately, and we must not undo this. (Sometimes the actual name of a thing looks abbreviated, but that is a rare exception). Please see this wiki page: osm.wiki/Abbreviations Have a good day!

about 2 years ago | Or maybe they're trying to match edges in a dataset like TIGER, but even then it would be easy to check if that thing already exists in OSM in a certain proximity...
about 2 years ago | These #MapWithAI changesets are something. They seem to be taking the name from the adjacent highways?
