almost 2 years ago | The MO PP designation spans from MO 30 westward to Byrnes Mil Road.
almost 2 years ago | This is a continuation of changeset #145480135
almost 2 years ago | TIGER called this "County Highway VV", and that name caused it to get ref="MO VV" even though VV isn't actually here.
almost 2 years ago | Most SSRs in Missouri are improved versions of what used to be county roads, but it's a misnomer to call them county roads and highways.
almost 2 years ago | I also bumped it to tertiary.
almost 2 years ago | I also fixed a small segment in U that was still residential.
almost 2 years ago | I also bumped it to tertiary.
almost 2 years ago | The overpass was completely unref'd before this changeset.
almost 2 years ago | It also sneaks into neighboring Lafayette County a bit.
almost 2 years ago | I don't know how they created TIGER initially, but my guess is that 3 looks similar to B especially if they were hand-digitizing paper maps or something similar.
almost 2 years ago | I also adjusted some untouched segments with Bing aerial.
almost 2 years ago | I bumped a segment of WW earlier today, and this was a continuation of that.
almost 2 years ago | I did not actually reclassify anything here. That text was left over in my JOSM history.
almost 2 years ago | And I bumped it from unclassified to tertiary.
almost 2 years ago | I know it's been a few years, but TIGER is wrong about the name of this road. It is not called "County Highway Vv". Technically, the road is a supplemental state route (SSR) designated as "VV". Missouri statutes use the format "State Highway *" for state routes, though, so the most canonical name in my opinion is "State Highway VV". Thanks
almost 2 years ago | Some of these segment had directional prefixes, too, but that's not something MoDOT does afaik.
about 2 years ago | Sorry, that should read "primary_link" rather than "tertiary_link".
about 2 years ago | (I would actually be in favor of using tertiary for numbered county roads, too, but that's another topic.)
about 2 years ago | The highway=unclassified tag is used for roads/routes that are too minor for systematic designation, and they are usually (not required to be) maintained by local government. SSRs, on the other hand, are designated, signed with letters, and maintained by the state DOT.
about 2 years ago | No other objects or tags were touched in order to make this a clean revert if needed.
