over 1 year ago | Not sure what you are questioning about 'route' but Ive looked at the ref values around Belgrave Zone Substation way/159814853 ref=BGE. BGE is fed by 2 66kV feeders from East Rowville Terminal Station, ERTS and Ferntree Gully Zone Substation FGY. The lines are ref= ERTS-BGE and BGE-FGY. Re confirming the ref values, I found a FGY-BGE label on a power pole just north of the substation. That seems more likely to be correct than the reverse BGV-FGY on OSM considering which way the power is likely to flow. I also found FGY and ERTS labels on the switchgear that the 2 lines connect to. In short, there are enough labels physically attached to electricity hardware to confirm the ref values. Photos sent by PM to Warin.
over 1 year ago | Thanks Warin for pointing this proposal out. We havent heard from wasgij in 4 years so are unlikely to get a reply now. Can you be more specific on what you are questioning?
over 1 year ago | KTS-SBY1 is a 66kV line from Keilor Terminal Station to Sunbury Zone Substation, one of two, the other KTS-SBY2. I suppose it has a similar role as a highway as a relation of road sections. I think the name is marked on the poles but I haven't checked yet. You say "where does it come from" as is it a copyright document? Good question.
almost 2 years ago | Thanks Ben, this track was put in by Forest Fire Management for a controlled burn. I do not know their long term plans. It is correctly tagged for the moment.
almost 2 years ago | Thanks Ben, I have referred it to the ranger
almost 2 years ago | Hi Ben, I suspect that this track 1251509544, v1 isn't meant to be there. Is it an unauthorised track created by the public, a path left by a bulldozer just passing through or what? Thanks, Tony, Friends of LysterfieldPark.
almost 2 years ago | Yes, lifecycle prefixes are my preferred solution at the moment and I am maintaining some tracks, as in physically, in a state of demolished, removed, or razed. The organization doing the demolishing still has to monitor the ex track's condition and keep it in a state that is a fair match for the tagging. Also, this solution only works if the data users continue to respect the prefix and not render the track.
almost 2 years ago | A message to ranger Stephen Stenberg and to ranger Patrick with whom I had the phone conversation. Please engage with us in discussion. This issue will never be resolved by removing tracks with no note or a note that the tracks do not exist. It is a pointless way for Parks to attempt resolution, OSM has much higher labour resources than Parks, Parks could never win an "edit war" and we do not want one. Please engage with us, at https://lists.openstreetmap.org/listinfo/talk-au or anywhere else. This issue will only be resolved with discussion. Thanks Tony.
almost 2 years ago | Hi Warin, you have wrongly identified the pole line as the stage 3 of the Snowies Alpine Walk. Tony.

| 140990502 | about 2 years ago | Hi, why isn't Geden tharpa choling monastery the name? It was given to me by by my guide as the name.

over 2 years ago | Hi, I have added the lifecycle prefix. This is consistent with what is on the ground. Parks has to keep the path untrafficable going forward to keep the disused: prefix. Please before reinstating, contact the Area Chief Ranger or the Team Leader of Parks Victoria, Lysterfield to discuss. Thanks, Tony
over 2 years ago | Hi. You have not responded to my requests 7 days ago and 4 days ago that you leave unique and meaningful changeset comments.
| 117585130 | over 2 years ago | Parks Victoria Lysterfield actively removes illegal bike tracks like this. Having illegal tracks mapped encourages traffic and makes closing them harder. I understand fully that OSM maps what is on the ground. Yesterday Parks Vic deconstructed the path and it is not trafficable. It will probably be made trafficable by cyclists then not
I have added access=no for the moment.

over 2 years ago | Hi, Luc, thanks for your contributions. In your 0 hour block of 17 days ago concerns about your lack of Changeset Comments were raised. Since then you have used the same comment on all changesets. Using the same comment every time is about as much use as no comment at all. Please read osm.wiki/Good_changeset_comments and try to provide unique and meaningful comments to all changesets. As a guide, experienced mappers provide unique comments about 50% of the time. Thanks Tony
over 2 years ago | You have renamed a large number of trails to all capitals. What was your reason? Please try to leave unique comments for each changeset explaining your changes
