over 7 years ago | Okay, I've unified these: changeset/62465706
over 7 years ago | There are two aqueducts: one opened in 1859 and the other in 1901. That extra one (without a start_date) looks like an imposter.
over 7 years ago | Well, if that's what's going to happen, it needs the tag wiki for 'ref' and any replacement tag to explicitly say when to use the standard tagging and when to use the new tagging - preferably with plenty of time to update editors, renderers and any scripts that group results by road, before such changes take place, surely?
over 7 years ago | Thanks - now joining the list to find out what's going on and how it can be fixed.

over 7 years ago | Thanks, SomeoneElse. It sounds like this whole thing is about *rendering*? If there's a move to not rendering refs, then isn't the right thing to change your renderer, rather than corrupting the whole database to fit the rendering? That's totally against the "don't tag for the renderer" principle.
over 7 years ago | I *think* I've subscribed, but haven't received any messages yet. I'd really like to find out what caused all this damage...
over 7 years ago | I've now subscribed to talk-gb, but won't be able to read until next week (I don't have email access here, only Web).
over 7 years ago | I surveyed on Sunday evening (when it definitely was 1 lane and 40 mph) - it was supposed to open fully today, but I'm not in a position to resurvey (about 150 miles away, sorry).
over 7 years ago | Are you using a script for this vandalism? Please reverse it so that it restores the standard and documented tags. Thanks.
over 7 years ago | Where did the 15 km/h limit at Roman Camp come from?
over 7 years ago | This was still signed as closed when I passed last weekend - is it really open to all vehicles? If not, then it might need motor_vehicle=no.
over 7 years ago | Makes sense - the carriageways are from an average of a few dozen traces, so they can be regarded as exact. I'll update them if I'm not beaten to it!
almost 8 years ago | Yes, and the linking section is on its way to being surfaced.
almost 8 years ago | I didn't survey - but the path was on the exact alignment of the railway, so merged the ways. It's not far from work (Rosyth), so I might be able to make a trip to actually look when the weather gets drier.
almost 8 years ago | Now updated from latest aerial photos.
about 8 years ago | I've just been down to Ferrytoll - FRB is definitely signed as A9000 on the approaches to the roundabout.
about 8 years ago | I didn't tag that ref, and I was as surprised as you. But when traffic was recently diverted over the old bridge, that's what was signed, so I can now corroborate it. I think it's still operated (by FETA) on behalf of Transport Scotland (making it 'trunk' by the strict rules, but signed in white-backed signs as a Principal Road; obviously of even lower status in actuality). A bit of an anomaly, I think - let's see how things settle down.
about 8 years ago | Thanks for adding these roads - have you had chance to survey "on the ground"? It would be nice to include speed limits, lanes and lighting attributes.
over 8 years ago | Fixed - thanks for picking this up!
