Changeset When Comment

I don't know what's wrong at your end but to me all of the entrances are showing except the one for IKEA which I added

Hi rand2k,

Calling edits “the worst logic” isn’t constructive. These changes follow the Cyprus-specific wiki and reflect how motorway links function locally. I’ve already suggested opening a broader community discussion to agree on consistent rules. If you disagree, that’s fine, but please stick to facts and tagging guidelines rather than exaggerations.

The edit was quite extensive and done in OsmInEdit, meaning I had to redraw most of the buildings, update the indoor map, and then adjust the surrounding features. If something was deleted, it was purely accidental. In this case, there really wasn’t a need to comment; if something’s missing, it can just be added back. A comment would only make sense if deletion was the actual intention of the edit, which it wasn’t. On that note I’ve also noticed that some features have been deleted multiple times in the past, so I just restored and corrected things rather than commenting on every single change unnecessarily. It’s also pretty common for features to get deleted, whether by accident or sometimes even vandalism.

Of course I don't mind the review.
As for these:
* way/7013588
* way/201313563
* way/150668003
* way/551620898
Even though they allow through traffic their main purpose is as motorway links. I believe we need to open a discussion between the editors to come to a conclusion. I believe the resolution for the US makes more sense in general.

Sorry for the late reply. The reason way/551683314 was downgraded to trunk because per the wiki we have for cyprus is to be used tag trunk for motorways with speedlight less than 100km/h the 100 speed limit for that part meaning the bridge starts after. Sadly from the mapilary data you can't see that. I will try to make mapilary data next time I'm at the airport.

Some might have been a mistake on my hand but I went through them and all are okay except the 2 you sent plus one more. I will fix them. As for the downgrade it is correct the highway sign is after that part. That part of the road is max 65 km/h so it cannot be a highway and as per Cyprus wiki we tag those as highway=trunk

It is government data.

Hi Layft,
I don't know why it looks like that. It shouldn't maybe I moved it by accident and didn't realise.

Yea Strovolos is the only municipality that didn't merge with another. But the administration level is the same as the new municipalities.
Yea because the subareas of the municipalities are renamed to municipal quarters that are level 8

152800630 over 1 year ago

What do you mean wider area? The boundaries of the new municipalities depend on how many municipalities and communities merged. All new municipalities are relations with afmin_level=6.

Firstly I'm not angry. I'mjust really confused why you don'tunderstand the guidelines written in the wiki. I clearly stated when and how to use the correct tags.
*The source works just fine the problem might be from your end (browser used etc.)
*For the tagging in the north I'm not an expert someone who lives there should write that. The tags for the north were based on what I found online for the numbering and road class.
*Again for the verifability a main/primary road in Cyprus is not always numbered with B. And for our example here iroon avenue is one of the main road arteries in Engomi that's why the government and even resident will consider it a primary/main road even though it is classified as E.

Road class has nothing to do with speed limits. You are referencing a table I wrote in the wiki and if you see below I say that you have to tag e and f roads as primary if no b road and according to the official data. You can open the data if you scroll down to the section some maps and click on primary road network. As for highways and trunks again I have a note that if a road is classified as A road but speeds are 80 then it should be trunk

153143802 over 1 year ago

Why do you change the road class. Some roads even though are numbered as EXXX are considered primary. e.g. Iroon Avenue (https://www.arcgis.com/home/webmap/viewer.html?url=http://eservices.dls.moi.gov.cy/arcgis/rest/services/National/Topography_GR/MapServer/12) Please stop undoing these type of changes. Especially when they are based on official governmental data. Thanks

Yes. The legislation changed so that new municipalities formed from the merging of the old municipalities and some communities.

They are not duplicate bus stops but bus stops that are shared by different operators. The problem was created during the upload where some of those bus stops where uploaded as different ones. It is an easy fix by merging the two nodes.

Yea sure that's on me for not writing descriptive changeset cooments.

109980462 over 4 years ago

That's not my fault. The reason it is such a great geographic area is because I added Gibraltar to the British Overseas Territories relation. So it's not my fault the British have stuff all around.
