over 2 years ago | Maybe grab some gps logs if possible (and upload them to OSM) and then cut and shut the tracks where they are combined. Cheers
over 2 years ago | I have removed this and turned it into a note for your own reference
over 2 years ago | Also, please add meaningful changeset comments. osm.wiki/Good_changeset_comments
over 2 years ago | Changing the name doesn't answer the original question - is this just a personal marker?
over 2 years ago | What is the actual feature at the place you have named "Nose"?
over 2 years ago | Is part of the track one way? In that case it needs to be split.
over 2 years ago | If this is actually trafficable by vehicle then I think the more appropriate tagging is a Land Access Track. It also looks like some parts of this track are duplicated with the Raptor Ridge track, plus there is a section of track in the south that very nearly crosses over itself. Is that actually the case?
over 2 years ago | Is this actually a real place or just a personal marker?
| 140912102 | over 2 years ago | No drama at all - Here is a treat for you - images of Tasmania from a colleague - enjoy!

over 2 years ago | No worries - Its only that larger group - I cleaned the few outliers on the eastern shore of the Derwent River. The Microsoft buildings were created on older imagery (I suspect) and in more rural areas they are OK in some places. We are still trying to get access to our government imagery which is better in small rural towns but when we get access to that is anyone's guess. Many thanks.
over 2 years ago | Its just disappointing when the imagery is so good, Just check out the houses in the block next door by Andy_T_56. He is leading the charge on getting great building footprints. https://overpass-turbo.eu/s/1zUv
over 2 years ago | Please dont just blindly accept the Microsoft Buildings. They just about all need adjustment, especially in this area where there is fantastic imagery. Any chance you can go back and fix all these buildings?
over 2 years ago | This is a shared path for both bikes and walkers is it not? If so then the highway=path is the better tagging with foot=designated and bicycle=designated (as per the ID Shared Path preset)
over 2 years ago | Hi there emilytrau - its also useful to split an address number like 17/6 into the two component parts - unit 17 and the street number of 6. Cheers
over 2 years ago | Is this actually a place or is this a personal marker for something?
over 2 years ago | Personally, given its no longer in use I think its appropriate to delete the offensive point altogether (or move it to openhistoricalmap)
over 2 years ago | If you get any trips down the island then that would also help. Have fun down there - love the news post! https://www.antarctica.gov.au/news/stations/macquarie-island/2023/this-week-at-macquarie-island-28-july-2023/
over 2 years ago | Hi Kimo - In most cases they were not an aisle in a parking lot. If its the only road in then then the service road tag is sufficient. If there is parking alongside the road then different tags could be added to indicate parking along the road.
over 2 years ago | Nice work on Macca! If you get an opportunity it would be great if you could load up some GPS traces around the station and up to Razorback Lookout (and beyond) as it would really help with image alignment.
over 2 years ago | Many thanks - if you have contacts in SA then please feel free to see if you can get a waiver for the imagery. Its worth a try every couple of years just in case they have a change of heart. Contact me via my profile if you would like some guidance.
