over 4 years ago | Hi I've noticed you're making a lot(!) of access changes all over the place at the moment. Not entirely sure what your intention is with a lot of them. This one for example - it was marked as a bridleway, which implies horse=designated, foot=yes, bicycle=yes and motor_vehicle=no (see highway=bridleway ) You've added access=no and horse=designated. If your intention was to make it non-routable for motor vehicles, that's unnecessary because it's already implied, and instead you've blocked routing for pedestrians and bicycles. access=no also has a side-effect of desaturating/greying out markings on the main map render, so is best used only when 'no-or-mostly-no access' really is what you're trying to convey. Cheers, Paul.
over 4 years ago | I've reverted the change to 30mph on Denbigh Drive. This was previously correct at 20mph. https://www.mapillary.com/app/?pKey=o0BkmbW8S1KryXXF33o3OS&focus=photo
over 4 years ago | Reverted - see discussion at changeset/105094684
over 4 years ago | No. Eastbound it's NSL here, but westbound it's 50mph. I drove it last Wednesday, with cameras running. Link in the last comment is to a photo of mine taken last month showing the 50mph sign in position; it was still there last week (just waiting for Mapillary to publish the newer photos and then you can have a link to that, too). It's also spelled out in legislation: The M4 Motorway (Junction 28 (Tredegar Park) to Junction 24 (Coldra)) (50 mph Speed Limit) Regulations 2021 https://www.legislation.gov.uk/wsi/2021/101/made - section (a) of the schedule: "The length of the westbound carriageway from a point 675 metres west of the centre line of the Bishton to Llanmartin overbridge to a point 80 metres west of the centre point of Forge Road underbridge." What's your source that disagrees with this?
over 4 years ago | Hi. This changeset moved one corner of Mill Farm several fields away - assume this was accidental; I've put it back where it was. Cheers, Paul.
over 4 years ago | Hi. This changeset moved the telephone box bookcase some distance - I assume that was accidental, and have put it back where it was. Cheers, Paul.
over 4 years ago | Hi Thanks for the heads-up, but no, I can confirm the 50mph westbound starts where the motorway crosses the stream near Underwood. Here's a Mapillary image: https://www.mapillary.com/app/?pKey=YfO5XVeb88AAvjatrVfmqt&focus=photo (rear-facing from the other carriageway; there's a better one taken from the other side but it's still uploading...) I'll revert.
over 4 years ago | Hi. Have tidied up a little for you; hope I've captured what you were trying to achieve!
over 4 years ago | This changeset also deleted a section of Pant Road and disconnected NCN4 (national cycle network). I've reverted these bits.
| 102519310 | over 4 years ago | Hi. Just looking at the houses you've added to Edward Street and Gwladys Street here - these are all terraced houses, so they should all join up; furthermore, the houses on the east side of Edward Street seem to have been traced over the back gardens, completely missing the houses themselves.

over 4 years ago | And just to complete the set, I've reverted this one too, as it added a new office in a field half way to the A417, when your office is already on the map by the mini-roundabout at the top (and it turned the whole of Shurdington Road into a bridge). Cheers, Paul (southglos)
over 4 years ago | Hi again. I've reverted this changeset too, as it added a new node over the top of 5 Bath Street, when the office is already correctly mapped at 29-30 on the other side of the road (unless you've moved, in which case let me know!) Cheers, Paul (southglos)
over 4 years ago | Following on from my note in changeset/102486331 I've trimmed the name field on this - great that you've changed the typo in it, but it's marked as an estate agents, and it's in Tewkesbury, so there's no need to add "Tewkesbury Estate Agents" to the end. Actually, last time I drove past, your signage said "Peter Ball & Co" - if that's still the case, it might be better to name it that. Cheers, Paul.
over 4 years ago | Hi, and welcome to OpenStreetMap. I can see you've tried to add locations of your offices to the map, but a lot of collateral damage has happened (including eradicating a chunk of the A40). I've reverted this changeset to put things back to how they were, and I'll have a look at the other changesets that also seem to have made unintended modifications to things. Take care when editing, but remember you can always undo changes if you make a mistake (as everyone does). Changeset comments are intended for other mappers, and should be details of what you changed and why, e.g. "Added estate agents based on local knowledge"; they're not marketing opportunities! We also try and avoid spam in the map data itself - it's great if you want to improve the map by making sure your offices are all included, but stick to the bare details and avoid making it an advert. Cheers, Paul (southglos)
