Hi
This has changed a playground into a wood called 'Jubilee Tree'. Is that intentional?
Cheers

Just add access=private
More info on access tags here: access=*

Have reverted the deletions and updated tags.

Similarly, looking at the not-a-building, it's clear someone has mistagged a tennis court. Again, better to fix the tagging than deleting (or drop a note on the map if it's something you're not sure how to fix yourself).

Be aware that some areas marked as leisure=park are tagged that way because ten years ago that was the only option for marking areas of grass. Nowadays we have landuse=grass, so please feel free to re-tag rather than delete.

Hi
...and 30mph? I thought all of this development was within a 20mph zone?

Hi. Why the change from "service" to "road"? Looked like you got it right first time round. highway=road translates as some sort of road, don't know what, needs fixing. See highway=road

Would also suggest adding bus=yes (or psv=yes if taxis are also allowed in) as at the moment the access tags disallow all use except pedestrian).

...and possibly move it so it's not in the middle of the road.

Useful info:

Footpaths/cyclepaths -
osm.wiki/United_Kingdom_Tagging_Guidelines

Public footpaths etc -
designation=*

Default access -
osm.wiki/OSM_tags_for_routing/Access-Restrictions#United_Kingdom

Happy mapping!

Hi

highway=footway already implies pedestrian access, to adding foot=yes isn't necessary.

foot=yes used to be used sometimes to mark a signposted public right of way, but nowadays designation=public_footpath is preferred for that. If these are signposted as public footpaths, perhaps you could add designation=public_footpath instead?

Cheers

Ha! Not a problem; hope you didn't mind me making a few tweaks to your edits earlier - the footpath and hedge were a little tangled up. Keep the edits coming - could do with more footpaths mapping :-) Cheers!

This duplicates an existing school mapped as a relation (one polygon, two relations, one for each of the schools sharing this site); I'll copy across any new info (e.g. phone number) to the existing relation and delete this new object.

I thought Amberley Ridge School closed several years ago. There's no source= tag; what's this changeset based on?

Hi

Assuming this is a bench, may I suggest removing 'name=Seat' and adding 'amenity=bench'?

The wiki page is here - amenity=bench - and suggests a few other related tags you might be interested in.

Cheers

Hi

Thanks for adding these footpaths, but may I make a suggestion on tagging? I notice you've added name="PROW (public right of way)". The 'name' tag should be the name of the object, not what it is (imagine if every hedge were labelled 'hedge').

So 'name' should be the name of the path if it has one, or empty if it doesn't.

Legal rights-of-way information can be held in the 'designation' tag; e.g. designation=public_footpath or designation=restricted_byway etc (see designation=* for more options).

It's also a good idea to mention where all this info came from, too (are these paths you've walked and surveyed, or copied from an old NPE map, or guessed from aerial imagery?); either in the changeset's 'source' tag or in the changeset comments.

Cheers, and happy mapping!

Hi. It's an assumption, based on the fact that it's a residential road hanging off a 20mph road, within the Inner South Bristol 20mph zone.

More info at http://www.bristol20mph.co.uk but as a summary: The 20mph pilot area at Inner South Bristol came into operation in 2010. Every road within the pilot area boundary became a 20mph speed limit from this date, unless excluded (ie: specified major through-roads).

I'm not blanket adding 20mph limits, as I don't know exactly where the edges are, but I think it's safe to assume that residential roads connected only to other 20mph roads will also be 20mph.

I wouldn't copy directly from this PDF, but it gives a good picture of the overall scheme in the area: http://www.bristol20mph.co.uk/sites/default/files/images/Map%20-%2020mph%20pilot%20area%20at%20Inner%20South%20Bristol.pdf

But feel free to remove the 20mph tag if the assumption makes you nervous; I won't be offended :-)

Cheers

Hi

Just noticed that this changeset added a load of man_made=surveillance / note="On no entry sign pole" by Westbourne Terrace near Sussex Gardens; is it really that Big-Brotherish, or should they be trees?

Cheers.
