Driveways

if you look at most commercial maps, digital or paper, they don't have driveways. the TIGER/Line files have some driveways, but those tend to be long, >200 feet, and in rural areas. i think it's safe to say that a roadmap should include all publicly accessible roads, until you reach a mailbox. anything past a mailbox, i.e. anything beyond where the u.s. mail service goes, is private drive. i think we've got a tough enough job getting all roads, facilities, and p.o.i.'s on the u.s. map, w/o the burden of driveways.

the only place you're likely to see all private driveways is on an aerial image.
