Sorry, that was my fault indeed. I said placer fork trail instead of Placer Fork Shortcut Tr. No. 191. Ugh, don't see a way to edit comments.

Also, not sure what you mean by the upper (East) ends of Willow or placer forks marked as "pathless". I see no such designation. A more accurate designation for these trails would be "unmaintained" and then as "pathless" on the last mile or two, but I don't have the exact point where they become pathless. That would need field observation or similar.

Yes, I am referring to Placer Fork Shortcut Tr. No. 191, as noted by both place markers I inserted and discussed about.

I can definitely vouch that the south end of this "trail" Is non-existent, no cairns, no sign, and definitely as mapped it's not there as I've already explained. The North end may exist but as I walked past it, it looked very doubtful but I did not investigate it like I did the south end. I actually probably spent more like a 1/2 hour towards and hour trying to find it. I didn't want to do the loop because I was trying to save elevation and time but I ended up looping willow and placer because this trail is so gone, unless once again, it's mapped wrong. As you may know, Willow and placer are in bad enough shape with tons of down trees, a beaver crossing bridge, and many stream crossings, in addition to a faint trail. anyways I'm not going to spend any more time trying to correct a trail that shouldn't be here. Up to whoever manages this I guess or me figuring out how to do it.

Placer fork trail has either completely disappeared and was reclaimrd by nature, never existed, or is completely different than as mapped. Verified this by hiking to it, trying to find it for 15 to 30 minutes using GPS and criss crossing the track as marked. This trail needs to be deleted unless somebody can actually prove that exists and not completely gone to nature. I would market for deletion but I cannot figure out or see an option to do it here.

The only maps I have that show this are on GaiaGPS. The Academy map does not show this area from what I can see. https://k00.fr/2c84vsp0

Please forgive me for the sdv label, that was in frustration because I'm learning how this works and I'm also uncertain whether any of my contributions are getting published. Essentially, the orange speckled line that heads to the North from the whitish trail is the one we took (this was last summer). That turned out to be bogus and went into some really thick trees and brush. Theres another trail / path not shown on here that keeps going generally north but that would have put us way off from our starting point and it was still unclear where that was going.

I tried to add both the recorded track we took to reach Road 1557 (although still no walk in the park) along with some waypoints with notes but I don't see these currently. I can elaborate on this more if you would like; if some of those trails were three, they are severely brushed out now.
